Who
The Fraser Valley Bible Conference is a joint effort between several churches in the greater
Fraser Valley, B.C. The churches currently supporting this conference are:
• Abbotsford Free Reformed Church
• Chilliwack Free Reformed Church
• Chilliwack Heritage Reformed Church
• Langly Free Reformed Church
• New Westminster Orthodox Reformed Church
Why
It is the objective of the annual Fraser Valley Bible Conference to advance the cause of the Lord Jesus Christ in the Fraser Valley and beyond, and to equip the churches in the Fraser Valley to be faithful and effective witnesses of the Saviour and his gospel.
How
Rev. Hamilton, the Fraser Valley Bible Conference speaker, is a gifted and seasoned minister of
the gospel, who is increasingly in demand as a speaker at conferences
around the world. By his many years in the pastoral ministry,
God has graciously molded him into an effective communicator
of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ. He speaks with the
warmth of a man whose own heart has been touched and transformed by the gospel he proclaims.
Since 1999, Rev. Hamilton has been the senior minister of
Cambridge Presbyterian Church, Cambridge (EPCEW). Prior to
this pastorate, he served the Loudoun Church of Scotland, Newmilns, Ayrshire from 1979-1999.
In 1990, Rev Hamilton published his post-graduate thesis, entitled “The Erosion of
Calvinist Orthodoxy.” More recently he has authored a booklet, "Amyraldianism: Is it Modified Calvinism?"
Presently he is writing a commentary on the Epistles of John for the Banner of Truth
Trust, and also serves the Trust as a trustee.
Furthermore, he serves as the chair of the Ministerial Credentials and Theological
Training Committee in the Presbytery of his denomination, and is also a member of
the Board of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary in South Carolina
(President: Dr. Joseph Pipa).
